Genome-based analysis reveals a novel SNMP group of the Coleoptera and chemosensory receptors in Rhaphuma horsfieldi

Through an exhaustive homology-based approach, coupled with manual efforts, we annotated and characterized 128 sensory neuron membrane proteins (SNMPs) from genomes and transcriptomes of 22 coleopteran species, with 107 novel candidates.
