Abstract
Background: Cerebral hemodynamic dysfunction is associated with brain small artery disease and poorer cognition. With aging, systemic arteries stiffen, magnifying the spread of pulsatility to distal organs. The brain is especially susceptible to pulsatility due to low impedance to flow.
