Abstract
Type 6 purinergic (P2Y6) receptors are high affinity G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) for uridine diphosphate (UDP). Previous studies revealed that P2Y6 receptor-deficient mice showed markedly exaggerated dust mite-induced pulmonary inflammation, but the mechanism(s) responsible were not clear.
