Abstract
The Permo‐Carboniferous–Lower Jurassic Karoo succession in the Central Kalahari Karoo Sub‐basin of Botswana is largely confined to the subsurface, and contains coal, coalbed methane and groundwater resources, similar to other Karoo strata throughout southern Africa.
