Abstract
Laryngeal emphysema, or air surrounding the larynx, is a rare complication in the absence of traumatic upper aerodigestive tract injury. We report a case of a lifethreatening upper airway obstruction from laryngeal emphysema following videoassisted thoracoscopic surgery for lung cancer.
