Abstract
Metabolic engineering for increased isoprenoid production often benefits from the simultaneous expression of the two naturally available isoprenoid metabolic routes, namely the 2-methyl-D-erythritol 4-phosphate (MEP) pathway and the mevalonate (MVA) pathway.
