Abstract
Treatment of [(η6-C6H6)RuCl2]2 or [(η6-p-cymene)RuCl2]2 with two equiv. of L-methionine in the presence of AgNO3 and NaOMe gave mononuclear ruthenium(II) complexes [(η6-C6H6)Ru(L-met)](NO3) (1) and [(η6-cymene)Ru(L-met)](NO3) (2), respectively.
