Abstract
1-nitropyrene (1-NP) is widespread in the environment, as a typical nitrated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. The purpose of this research was to explore the effects of gestational 1-NP exposure on susceptibility of allergic asthma in offspring. Maternal mice were exposed to 1-NP (100 μg kg−1) by gavage throughout the whole pregnancy. Pups were sensitized by injecting with ovalbumin (OVA) on postnatal day (PND)23, 29, and 36, respectively.
