Abstract
The Kaimur Group of the Vindhyan Supergroup has been divided into six Formations in Son valley sector, in Central part of India, i.e., Sasaram Sandstone, Ghurma Shale, Markundi Sandstone, Bijaigarh Shale, Mangesar Formation, and Dhandraul Sandstone.
