Abstract
Overexpression of interleukin (IL)-1β has been described in solid tumors, including lung. IL-1β can promote angiogenesis, tumor invasiveness, and induces tumor-associated immunosuppression through myeloid-derived suppressor cell (MDSC) accumulation in tumors.
