Abstract
The influence of 9Cr-1Mo sample thickness on oxidation and carburization kinetics was investigated. State of the art characterization and modeling techniques were employed to investigate the oxidation and carburization behavior. Within the tested exposure times, the sample thickness did not affect oxidation kinetics, products, or the carburized microstructure.
