Abstract
Lowering of LDL-C is recommended in patients with CVD or familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). Canadian guidelines recommend additional therapy on top of statin in those patients who do not achieve recommended LDL-C level. GOAL is an investigator initiated study to ascertain the use of second and third line therapy and its impact on LDL-C in a real world setting.
