Abstract
• Bimetallic Fe(III) doped ZnO NPs were synthesised via simple co-precipitation method. • 15% doping of Fe(III) resulted the least IC 50 value of 0.20 μg/ml. • FZO NPs did not produce ROS, and ruptured bacterial cells via the release of ions. • Ten times higher concentration than that of MIC did not exhibit any cyto-toxicity.
