The Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary in Lebanon. Revision of the Salima Formation

In Lebanon and neighbouring countries, the Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary was conventionally located at the boundary between “uppermost Jurassic” limestones, below, and “Neocomian” sandstones, above. A holostratigraphic approach based on micropalaeontology, macropaleontology, sedimentology, and sequence stratigraphy helps to redefine it more accurately.
