Aims The Microalbuminuria Education Medication and Optimisation ( MEMO ) study, revealed improved cardiovascular risk and glycaemic control with 18 months of intensive multifactorial intervention in high‐risk people with type 2 diabetes, without any increase in severe hypoglycaemia.
