In this paper a maximum likelihood estimator for the extended capability index is obtained, where fuzzy quality is considered under an exponential process. Moreover, the consistency, biassednes and the mean square of error for the proposed estimator are discussed. Also, an equal tails (1鈭抋)100% confidence interval is constructed for the proposed estimator. Finally, a numerical example is given to clarify the point and interval estimations of the proposed capability index based on fuzzy quality.

This paper proposes a control chart using repetitive sampling for monitoring process capability index having one-sided specification limit using an exact distribution. The performance of the proposed chart is evaluated in terms of average run lengths using the exact probability distribution of the process capability index. The result shows that the proposed chart is more efficient by indicating the quicker out-of-control signals than the one using single sampling.

Cloud systems have become a popular platform for business applications due to the flexibility in usage and payment they offer. One of the caveats of Cloud systems is their high energy consumption. Minimizing energy consumption while maintaining a high service level has become a relevant optimization task for Cloud providers. Opportunities for energy savings arise when server hosts are overloaded, which also entails unnecessary delays. To address the problem, researchers have devised strategies h...

Cloud computing is an umbrella term used to refer to Internet based development and services. It is a virtual pool of resources which are provided to users via Internet. The main root of cloud computing is the abstraction and virtualization. There is a requirement of scheduling to manage the huge amount of data, transmission cost, load balancing and the execution of such amount of data. Cloud computing service providers' one of the major goals is to use the resources efficiently for their optimu...

Energy cost is the fastest-rising expense for today's cloud data centers. Power consumption is one of the top concerns for managers of cloud data centers. In such strong demands for cloud services, cloud data center is growing but lead to a lot of concerns about energy consumption. This work proposes a method to control cloud data center power consumption by Out-of-Band server hardware management tool to dynamic reallocate virtual machines and on-and-off physical server machines. The threshold d...

Volume 4, Issue 2, March 鈥 April 2015 Page 206 Abstract Now the days to reduce cost Additional enterprises and companies utilize cloud environment and services of used and cost directly proportional time because every service provider provide service in term as time. In this paper introduce an algorithm to reduce host selection time that mean give virtual machine selection time is also reduce. These are help to host allocation in cloud data center. All service provides want minimum their action ...

This paper presents a hybrid optimization model that allows a cloud service provider to establish virtual machine (VM) placement strategies for its data centers in such a way that energy efficiency and network quality of service are jointly optimized. Usually, VM placement is an activity not fully integrated with network operations. As such, the VM placement strategy does not take into account the impact it produces on the network performance in terms of quality of service parameters such as pac...

Cloud computing is offering utility oriented IT services to users worldwide. Based on a pay per use model, it provides a variety of computing resources, enterprise applications while enabling their hosting from consumer, scientific and business domains through a three layered architecture and different cloud types. The proliferation of cloud computing has resulted in the establishment of large-scale data centers around the world containing thousands of computing nodes which consume huge amounts ...

Data center applications present significant opportunities for multiplexing server resources. Virtualization technology makes it easy to move running application across physical machines. In this paper, we present an approach that uses virtualization technology to allocate data center resources dynamically based on application demands and support green computing by optimizing the number of servers actively used. We abstract this as a variant of the relaxed on-line bin packing problem and develop...

Cloud computing allows business customers to scale up and down their resource usage based on needs. Many of the touted gains in the cloud model come from resource multiplexing through virtualization technology. In this paper, we present a system that uses virtualization technology to allocate data center resources dynamically based on application demands and support green computing by optimizing the number of servers in use. We introduce the concept of "skewness” to measure the unevenness...
