In the accompanying article, Goldenberg et al. review the promotion of diabetic ketoacidosis by SGLT2 inihibitors. They have carried out a metanalysis showing a 3.5‐fold increase in the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in patients with type 1 diabetes under treatment with SGLT2 inhibitors.
