A series of pressure–dependent permeability experiments were conducted on the Lower Silurian Longmaxi organic–rich shales in northeast Yunnan area, southern China, to investigate the effects of sedimentary bedding, fracture surface roughness, fracture offset, fracture aperture and effective pressure on shale permeability.
