Abstract
A Neo-Tethyan upper Albian–Turonian (hemi-)pelagic carbonate succession (Sarvak Formation), accessible in outcrop in the Zagros, SW Iran, was investigated using sedimentology, microfacies analysis, planktonic foraminifera biostratigraphy, and carbon-isotope stratigraphy.
