Abstract
Purpose To investigate the association between estimated cardiorespiratory fitness (eCRF) and risk of atrial fibrillation (AF), and examine how long-term changes in eCRF affects the AF risk. Methods This prospective cohort study includes data of 39,844 men and women from the HUNT2 (August 15, 1995 to June 18, 1997) and the HUNT3 study (October 3, 2006 to June 25, 2008).
