Abstract
In today's aquaculture, the cost-intensive and scarce fishmeal is increasingly replaced by plant-based feedstuff such as soybean meal (SBM). However, SBM contains saponins which can have adverse effects on fish's digestive tract potentially culminating in severe enteritis.
