Abstract
Thirty-nine species of sawfly (Symphyta) are recorded for the first time in Bulgaria. Most of these were collected during early spring of 2018, in the south-east of the country (Burgas and Varna Provinces). Empriaaridicola Macek & Prous, sp. nov. is described as new to science from specimens collected in several central, east and south European countries.
