Parthenogenesis in a captive Asian water dragon (Physignathus cocincinus) identified with novel microsatellites

Reptiles show varying degrees of facultative parthenogenesis. Here we use genetic methods to determine that an isolated, captive female Asian water dragon produced at least nine offspring via parthenogenesis.
