This study investigates whether and how three synoptic‐scale teleconnections, i.e. East Asia/Pacific teleconnection (EAP), Silk‐Road teleconnection (SR) and Eurasia teleconnection (EU), induce persistent precipitation extremes (PPEs) in the Yangtze River Valley.
