Abstract
Hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTRv amyloidosis) is caused by a variant transthyretin (TTR), which is a serum protein secreted by the liver. Mass spectrometry (MS) is a useful tool that can detect variant TTRs in serum samples from patients with ATTRv amyloidosis.
