The relationship of Matrona and Atrocalopteryx (Odonata: Calopterygidae) is still unclear. To better understand the phylogenetic relationship of Matrona and Atrocalopteryx, we sequenced and annotated two complete mitochondrial genomes of Matrona basilaris sampled from two different locations.
