Abstract
Left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) are now a standard of care for patients awaiting heart transplant. Our patient had undergone placement of the HeartWare LVAD and presented to the hospital with complaints of fatigue, dyspnea, fever and discharge from the LVAD site.
