Abstract
Marfan syndrome (MFS) is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder caused by mutations in the fibrillin-1 gene. Acute aortic dissection is the leading cause of death in patients suffering from MFS and consequence of medial degeneration and aneurysm formation.
