Abstract
Randomized clinical trials have demonstrated that pioglitazone (PIO), a thiazolidinedione, and liraglutide and semaglutide, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP1Ra), are effective in treating Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
