Prospects of Using Titanium Dioxide as a Component of Modifying Composition for Aluminum Casting Alloys
Abstract
The authors studied the possibility of modifying aluminum-silicon alloys using titanium dioxide at standard melting temperatures up to 800 °C. The result is achieved due to the combined use of titanium dioxide and alkali and alkaline-earth metal fluorides.
