Abstract
The ore-forming processes in the Baogutu porphyry copper deposit are spatially and temporally related to the Late Carboniferous intrusions in the west Junggar of China. The mineralized intrusions, consisting of granodiorite, quartz diorite, and diorite, are characterized by moderate zircon Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios (15.9–163) and Eu/Eu* ratios (0.25–0.57; Eu/Eu* = EuN/(SmN × GdN)1/2).
