Objective Renal arteriolosclerosis is a risk factor for acute reductions in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) when renin-angiotensin system (RAS) inhibitors are administered. Renal arteriolosclerosis can be detected by an increase in the resistive index (RI) on Doppler ultrasonography.
