Abstract
Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) results from hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transformation by the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI), although effective in inducing remissions in CML, fail to eradicate leukemia stem cells (LSC) which persist as source of relapse.
