Trends in volume and risk profiles of patients undergoing isolated surgical and transcatheter aortic valve replacement

Background Recent reports describe increases in the case volume of surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) after centers establish a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) program.
