Abstract
e21560 Background:Internationally the mortality rate for neutropenic sepsis (NS) is 2-21% (in patients who develop it). Within the United Kingdom NS causes around 700 deaths annually. Clinicians are concerned about patient delayed reporting of NS which may increase healthcare costs, mortality and chemotherapy delays, which can affect prognosis.
