Abstract
Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease that is most commonly manifested in the pulmonary system. Though the entire etiology of sarcoidosis remains unknown, it has been reported that Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) has been isolated from sarcoid lesions.
