Abstract
A new species of wombat, Rhizophascolonus ngangaba sp. nov., is described from Miocene deposits at Riversleigh along with additional specimens of Rhizo-phascolonus crowcrofti, and some maxillary and mandibular fragments attributable to Rhizophascolonus.
