Abstract
Holmium silicates are promising environmental barrier coatings (EBCs) materials for Si‐based non‐oxide ceramics due to their excellent thermal and mechanical properties. In the present work, the phase evolution of holmium silicate coatings synthesized by reactive sputtering was systematically studied.
