The taxonomy of the aquatic hyphomycete genus Articulospora (Ascomycota, Pezizomycotima, Leotiales, Helotiaceae) is based on the morphology of the generative phase of its lifecycle. The type species is Articulospora tetracladia, which is distributed worldwide.
