Abstract
The Baobei pluton in west Junggar, composed of an earlier pyroxene-bearing granitoid and a variety of later pyroxene-absent hornblende–biotite-bearing granitoids (quartz diorite, granodiorite, monzogranite), intrudes early Carboniferous volcano–sedimentary rocks.
