Abstract
PURPOSE: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) increases risk for chronic disease with diagnostic criteria including elevated systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure (SBP and DBP, respectively), triglycerides (TRG), glucose (GLU), waist circumference (WC), and reduced HDL-cholesterol (HDL).
