Characterization of a Glycyl-Specific TET Aminopeptidase Complex from Pyrococcus horikoshii

We describe here the first known peptidase displaying exclusive activity toward N-terminal glycine residues. This work indicates a specific role for intracellular glycyl peptidases in deep sea hyperthermophilic archaeal metabolism.
