Abstract
This study investigated the characteristics of multi-institutional authors and the academic impact of their articles in the fields of genetics and high-energy physics. The findings showed that the percentage of articles written by multi-institutional authors (87.3%) and the percentage of multi-institutional authors (27.8%) in genetics were higher than those (50.4% articles and 17.1% authors) in high-energy physics.
