Thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA), a typically silent but frequently lethal disease, is strongly influenced by underlying genetics. Approximately 30 genes have been associated with syndromic and non-syndromic familial thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection (TAAD) to date.
