We propose to generate excitatory and inhibitory neuron-like dynamics in vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) by applying simultaneously the orthogonally-polarized CW optical injection (OPCWOI) and parallelly-polarized pulse optical injection stimulus.
