Abstract
The box tree moth, null Cydalima perspectalis null (Walker, 1859), was accidentally introduced in Central Europe and recently was detected and identified in Romania as a serious pest, naturally spreading on the country. Recently, the pest has caused major damage at null Buxus sempervirens null (common box, European box) in Cluj-Napoca, NW Romania.
