Introduction: Transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) is found in both mutated (ATTRmt) and wild-type (ATTRwt) forms. Both forms are associated with increased risk of developing cardiomyopathy (CM) due to infiltration of the heart by amyloid fibrils, which causes diastolic dysfunction and heart failure.
