<b><i>Background/Aims:</i></b> Acute kidney injury requiring dialysis (AKI-D) is associated with poor outcomes. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have reversed their clarification allowing AKI-D patients to be dialyzed at outpatient dialysis units.
