Nitrogen fertilization and plant density in hybrid pearl-millet under irrigated conditions

Abstract
In irrigated trials in 1970-1, 3 pearl millet hybrids [Pennisetum americanum] grown at 3 stand densities in the range 100 000-250 000 plants/ha gave higher average fresh fodder yields with application of 150 kg N/ha than with 75 or 225 kg/ha.
