Abstract
Acid catalyzed condensation of isoniazid with a number of suitably substituted aromatic and heterocyclic aldehydes was carried out in dry ethanol to afford the title ( E )- N ′-(substituted benzylidene/methylene) isonicotinohydrazides (SF 1 – SF 4) in good yields.
